Interns will participate in executive speaker series, career development workshops, philanthropic efforts, and team-building activities. Additionally, interns will have access to online learnings and a dedicated Summer Coach to further grow their careers with us.

As an Assoc. Information Security Analyst Intern you may:

• Monitor the security tools and systems that defend ServiceNow's production and corporate environment
• Determine relationships between seemingly unrelated events through deductive reasoning
• Ideate ways to do things faster, better and more effectively, based on analytical abilities
• Work with teams to maintain up-to-date baselines for the secure configuration and operations of all in-place devices, whether they be under direct control (i.e., security tools) or not (i.e., workstations, servers, network devices, etc.).
• Participate as an escalation contact in the On-Call rotation, to ensure that Security Operations can respond to priority incidents.
• You may be called upon to assist with the deployment, integration and initial configuration of new security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions; including network, and systems to improve overall platform security.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university as a full-time student, pursuing a Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Business Administration (with a security focused minor), Information Technology, Security or equivalent.
  • Graduating December 2024, or later
  • Ability to obtain work authorization and commit to a 12-week internship in summer 2024 (May-August, or June-September)
• Some IT/Security course work completed, including a basic understand of networks and operating systems
• Some personal and/or academic projects focused in the security domain
• A defensive security mindset and desire to build career in security
• Automation knowledge (Python, bash scripting) and knowledge hardening Linux, Windows, or Mac systems
• Knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools (Qualys, Nessus)
• Demonstrated well-developed written and oral communication skills
• Background working with data logging applications (e.g. Splunk), a plus
• Strong analytical skills
• Customer service experience

For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $40.87, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
