    Job Description

    WHAT YOU GET TO DO IN THIS ROLE:   

    • Safeguard principals from all forms of security and safety hazards.
      • Provide security coverage for principals, guests, and others in a way that is professional, courteous, and in compliance with policy and procedures.
    • Assist with site surveys of future locations for high-risk employees, ranging from casual to Head of State level events, and assist in logistical planning.
      • Detailed planning will include all aspects and issues relating to physical locality, movements in, out, and around site and event, and preparation for emergencies and other contingencies.
    • May act as primary driver, as well as follow car driver for principals.
      • Must operate vehicle in safe and comfortable manner, identify and counter threats along routes, and render aid in the event of accident or other safety hazard.
      • Ensure vehicle is in good working order, fueled, and clean.
      • Prepare routes in advance, as well as alternate routes.
    • Coordinate with internal client staff to accomplish common goals regarding provision of personal assistance and support for principals’ activities. 
      • May be asked to liaison with outside Executive Protection Teams who visit the client's campus for customer meetings.
      • May liaise with the client's Global Physical Security team when necessary.
    • Complete reports, including oral and written briefings.
      • Communicate appropriately with staff and principals.
    • All other duties, as assigned.

    TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

    • Agent will familiarize themselves with the “Pattern of Life” and should understand the baseline of the normal day to day environment.
    • Display a high-level of physical fitness, professional appearance and demeanor. 
    • Be in good overall physical, mental, and emotional condition, have a reputation as a team player and be flexible/adaptable with long hours, ever-changing schedules, and unexpected travel. 
    • Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to tactfully influence, resolve conflict, and remain flexible.   
    • Ability to interact with all levels of corporate leadership, liaison internally and externally with other departments and personnel.  
    • Ability to brief, defend, influence, and instruct others on security requirements and policies

    KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:  

    • Prior law enforcement and/or military experience is highly desired 
    • Four-year degree or a graduate of a reputable executive protection training school is highly desired.   
    • Valid California BSIS Guard Card 
    • Valid California BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit
    • Valid California Concealed Weapons Permit (CCW)
    • High level of firearms proficiency
    • Medical experience (First Responder, EMT, 18d, Paramedic, Navy Corpsman) highly desired. 
    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

    WORK PERSONAS

    Work personas are categories that are assigned to employees depending on the nature of their work. Employees will fall into one of three categories: Remote, Flexible or Required in Office. 

    REQUIRED IN OFFICE

    A required in office work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office. This persona is required to work from their assigned workplace location 100% of the work week based on the business needs of their role.

    FLEXIBLE 

    A flexible work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office and will work from their assigned workplace location roughly 3 days/week or less (generally around 40-60% of the work week). Flexible employees may choose to work the remaining working time from their workplace location or home. Flexible employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.

    REMOTE

    A remote work persona is defined as an employee who performs their responsibilities exclusively outside of a ServiceNow workplace and is not contracted or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office, including those whose place of work (pursuant to their terms and conditions of employment) is their home. Remote employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
