    TEAM

    As an Application Engineering Program Manager, you will be a key member of our exciting Application Engineering team who deliver some of the most innovative and cutting-edge technologies to the market.

    ROLE

    As an Engineering Program Manager, you will be communicating, coordinating, and collaborating with a cross functional teams daily.  Working most closely with the Engineering and Product Management teams, you will be influencing all aspects of the product delivery process. 

    For your programs, you will be the driving force to:

    • Work side-by side with some of the most innovative and collaborative product and technology leaders on high-visibility initiatives

    • Responsible for taking company-wide, mission critical IT projects from original concept through final implementation

    • Ensure adherence to processes, quality standards and deliverables so that your projects are delivered with machine-like predictability

    • Use critical thinking skills to solve difficult and sometimes ambiguous problems

    • Provide transparent communication and interfaces with all areas affected by the program/project including cross-functional stakeholders, business sponsors and vendors – and people will appreciate your honest, forthright communication

    • Coordinate day to day activities required to deliver a great solution on time

    • Develop the overall prioritization, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria

    • Help manage risks, dependencies and escalate impediments

    • Help manage the team’s releases and navigating release requirements

    • Deliver hands-on coaching of individual scrum teams in all aspects of scrum - daily meetings, planning, self-organization, collaboration, iterative development, workshops etc.

    • Drive process improvements and create documentation to promote best practices

    • Provide leadership by example

    • This position will require approximately 25% travel

    IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, WE NEED SOMEONE WHO HAS:

    • 12+ years in project/ program management with a proven track record of leading complex programs
    • A solid understanding of delivering software
    • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with development teams, product management, stakeholders, and cross-functional development groups
    • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
    • A proven ability to lead through influence
    • Ability to drive the software release process and collaborate the roadmap for the future
    • Ability to work effectively in both strategic and tactical spaces
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent organizational skills to be able to coordinate complicated efforts and environments
    • High emotional intelligence to effectively manage a diverse team working in different environments
    • Exceptional team building and team management skills, including interpersonal skills, conflict resolution and negotiation
    • Demonstrated competence in key program management best practices: program planning, schedule construction and management; risk assessment & mitigation, change management and predictive metrics
    • Encourage, support, and guide continuous improvement of the team, its products, and processed
    • An orientation for execution with a strong process and metrics focus
    • Clearly communicate changes/requests to the team and status/compromises to stakeholders

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • PMP or Agile Certification
