    Job Description

    TEAM OVERVIEW 

    We are the Experience Organization (EO)! We are made up of Product Designers, UX Researchers, Technical Writers, Design Operations, Design Technologists and Visual Designers. 

    We are successful because of the collective minds of diverse individuals within the Experience Organization, contributing to building innovative software that make workflows smarter.     We are looking for students who want to learn, grow, and take a giant step early in their career, all while making a giant impact. We offer 12-WEEK SUMMER INTERNSHIP opportunities all over the U.S. across various business functions.   

    Interns will participate in executive speaker series, career development workshops, philanthropic efforts, and team building activities. Additionally, interns will have access to LinkedIn Learning online and dedicated Summer Coach to further grow their careers with us!

    OUR DESIGN INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE:

    PRODUCT DESIGN INTERN

    • Working closely with designers on ServiceNow’s Design System and Platform design teams.
    • Creating new concepts with wireframes, producing high-fidelity mockups, writing detailed documentation, and critically assessing designs.
    • Experiencing first-hand the creative processes as they exist in an Enterprise software environment.

    PRODUCT DESIGN INTERN, VISUAL DESIGN

    • Working closely with designers on ServiceNow’s Design System and Platform design teams.
    • Creating new concepts with wireframes, producing high-fidelity mockups, writing detailed documentation, and critically assessing designs.
    • Crafting visuals that help illustrate and help reinforce storytelling from end-to-end.
    • Experiencing first-hand the creative processes as they exist in an Enterprise software environment.

    DESIGN TECHNOLOGIST INTERN

    • Working closely with designers on ServiceNow’s Design System and Platform design teams.
    • Prototyping new concepts in code to produce high-fidelity, interactive experiences for testing and concept validation.
    • Collaborating with designers on prototyped concepts to improve the designed experience for our users.
    • Experiencing first-hand the creative processes as they exist in an Enterprise software environment.

    DESIGN PROGRAM MANAGEMENT INTERN

    • Partner closely with a Design Program Manager to evaluate effectiveness and impact of our existing programs and collaborate on future programs and initiatives that will drive impact for our team.
    • Represent the needs of our team (our internal users) by gathering various research/data points from discovery techniques and measurement strategies around our existing programs and initiatives with the goal to help refine and improve our programs for the coming year.
    • Create, plan, and manage your own 6-week data driven project around improving effectiveness of the design operations team.
    • Participate in planning and facilitation of meetings, and training initiatives.
    • Communicate your findings using tools such as Miro, Microsoft SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, and Smartsheet (or bring us suggestions!)
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • PURSUING A BACHELOR’S OR MASTER’S DEGREE in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Graphic/Visual Design, Cognitive Science, Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related disciplines
      • GRADUATING DECEMBER 2023, OR LATER
      • Able to work full time for 12 weeks during the summer (May – September)

       

    • Experience in successfully applying design methods to solving problems and/or project management experience, preferred
    • A go-getter, ambitious problem solver with a growth mindset
    • Comfortable interfacing with various types of people and roles, either in presentation setting, informal stakeholder interviews, or large meetings.
    • Ready to showcasing your work and/or projects in form of portfolio or other formats is required at time of interview
