    Job Description

    We are looking for a Process Owner (SCRUM PO) in Engineering Operations. The PO drives the overall health and viability of operational processes as well as implementing them into our internal and customer-facing tools when possible. The PO works closely with the business stakeholders and provides process design, business analysis, implementation leadership, and quality control for internal engineers on the ServiceNow platform, including the SDLC processes, release management, and issue handling.  

    WHAT YOU GET TO DO IN THIS ROLE:

    • Achieve and maintain a super-user level of expertise with the tools and processes used by ServiceNow Product Development, Engineering and related teams, proactively sharing that expertise, and applying it to the evolution of the ecosystem.
    • Implement core internal operational processes that will achieve the goals of the business; design the processes and measure impacts/outcomes, communicate the vision and strategy to business stakeholders, oversee and support the implementation
    • Gather, curate, and prioritize requirements to solve problems as presented or discovered.
    • Document existing business processes, process workflow diagrams, and all other supporting documentation
    • Produce mock-ups or wireframes to illustrate design concepts
    • Create and maintain user personas, use-cases, and business requirements documents
    • Work with stakeholders, Product Owners, and Internal Development teams to drive process and system improvements.
    • Function as agile product owner, working with the internal development teams; defining and prioritizing a backlog of work including the creation of epics and user stories, and be data-driven in prioritizing new features, enhancements, and quality improvements.
    • Coordinate implementation of finalized process or development efforts with management, training, documentation, communication, and other relevant items.
    • Set up process success criteria for monitoring
    • Develop, share, and enforce best practices
  • Qualifications

    TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU HAVE:

    • 3+ years as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Consultant, or technical Product Analyst in a commercial software product company
    • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science (CS), or related field
    • Familiarity with SDLC, DevOps, Quality Standards, and Best Practices
    • The ability to learn new technical concepts quickly
    • The ability to make trade-off decisions between possible and desirable, which requires a good sense of what is technically feasible
    • Exceptional understanding of Agile and Lean methodologies
    • The ability to context switch between future product planning and current product adoption activities
    • The discipline to focus on high leverage activities, i.e., being good at saying “no” or “not now”
    • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences as well as communicating effectively with highly technical and knowledgeable audiences.
    • Ability to create great working relationships with all levels within the company and across multiple disciplines
    • Comfortable facing new challenges, ambiguity, and changes in direction. 
    • Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform capabilities

    WORK PERSONAS

    Work personas are categories that are assigned to employees depending on the nature of their work. Employees will fall into one of three categories: Remote, Flexible or Required in Office. 

    REQUIRED IN OFFICE

    A required in office work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office. This persona is required to work from their assigned workplace location 100% of the work week based on the business needs of their role.

    FLEXIBLE 

    A flexible work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office and will work from their assigned workplace location roughly 3 days/week or less (generally around 40-60% of the work week). Flexible employees may choose to work the remaining working time from their workplace location or home. Flexible employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.

    REMOTE

    A remote work persona is defined as an employee who performs their responsibilities exclusively outside of a ServiceNow workplace and is not contracted or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office, including those whose place of work (pursuant to their terms and conditions of employment) is their home. Remote employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
