    ** _ Location: Puerto Rico or Remote (with significant travel to PR)_**

    ** Role Responsibilities:

    ** 1. Leadership & Mentorships

    • Lead and manage engineering teams as we scale, focusing on high-quality software delivery that supports the ServiceUp mission.

    2. Technical Experience

    • Stay hands-on in problem-solving and technical discussions.
    • Provide architectural oversight based on best practices, with an emphasis on Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation).
    • Regularly review code and technical decisions to ensure the highest level of quality and alignment with the ServiceUp vision.

    3. Process Management & Agile Adoption:

    • Design and implement agile processes, focusing on Extreme Programming (XP) methodologies.
    • Continuously optimize workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced agile environment
    • Proven understanding of agile methodologies and agile development cycle
    • Assess current processes and lead transformational initiatives to improve productivity and quality.

    4. DevOps & Developer Experience:

    • Drive DevOps best practices throughout the engineering teams, ensuring robust automation, effective CI/CD pipelines, and comprehensive monitoring solutions.
    • Advocate for a first-class developer experience, selecting tools, creating documentation, and developing practices that empower engineering teams to excel.

    5. Stakeholder Communication:

    • Facilitate communication between engineering, other departments, and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and collaboration.
    • Translate engineering strategies, decisions, and progress to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in leading engineering teams of 15-30 people.
    • Previous roles as a Staff Engineer or Software Architect.
    • Extensive experience with agile methodologies, particularly Extreme Programming (XP).
    • Hands-on expertise in Domain-Driven Design and CQRS.
    • In-depth understanding and experience in DevOps practices.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
    • 6+ years of professional software development experience
    • Proven experience as a technical manager in a software consultancy or IT services environment
    • Strong technical background with expertise in software development, architecture and design
    • Significant experience in technology leadership, with references from both direct reports and executive leadership.
    • A strong commitment to enhancing developer tools and experience.
    • A track record of developing high-performance, mission-critical teams.
    • Skill in cross-functional collaboration and effective stakeholder communication.
