    Position Overview: At Global Advisor Group, we recognize that our team members are our greatest asset. Your diverse talents will be valued and directly contribute to our firm’s success. As a Financial Advisor, you will use specialized knowledge and skills obtained through experience, specialized training, and certification to serve in a support role to Lead Advisors and Wealth Managers to deliver comprehensive financial planning services to a select group of the client base. This is an onsite position, and we will only consider candidates that will work 5 days/week in our Reston, VA office.

    Knowledge/Requirements

    Minimum 4-year college degree and preferred 3-5 years of prior client facing industry experience.

    Unquestionable ethics

    Clean FBI background check and credit check

    SIE exam, Series 7 & Series 63/65 or Series 66 licenses preferred or willingness to obtain within first 6 months.

    Proficient knowledge of financial planning concepts and software.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

    Demonstrated willingness to go “above and beyond” for outstanding client support.

    Polished, friendly, professional demeanor

    Ability to work under pressure to meet very short deadlines

    Ability to prioritize, track and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

    Ability to be flexible in navigating changing deadlines and priorities with skill and grace

    Ability to work quickly and accurately with client account and application forms

    Ability to work with minimal supervision, to resolve issues independently to attain desired results.

    Ability to collaborate well with managers, administrators, team members, home office staff, and clients to accomplish goals.

    Regular and timely attendance is required

    Daily Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Works closely with Lead Advisor to support client relationships.

    Assumes direct responsibility for many aspects of servicing and maintaining client relationships.

    Works closely with clients to help develop deep and enduring relationships.

    Takes note of changes in clients’ lives which could affect their financial plan and communicates this information in a timely and effective manner.

    Effectively communicates financial planning concepts and market conditions to clients.

    Knowledgeable in solutions and services specific to the client base.

    Performs daily account administrative functions.

    Prepares and reviews client portfolio review packets and or proposals as directed by Lead Advisor.

    Identifies issues with clients and their portfolios and brings it to the attention of the Lead Advisor along with workable solutions.

    Is aware of and adheres to industry compliance requirements and firm and branch policies.

    Seeks opportunities to expand financial planning services offered to clients while growing and consolidating client assets.

    Seeks opportunities to generate referral business from client’s friends and family.

    May attend client events-occasional evenings and weekends.

    Willingly performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
