    Overview

    We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Set-Up Machinist to join our dynamic team in Grantsburg, WI. As a Set-Up Machinist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our machining operations run smoothly and efficiently.     Responsibilities

    • Set up and operate various types of machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine specifications.
    • Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
    • Adjust machine settings and tooling as necessary to achieve desired tolerances.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
    • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve any machining issues.
    • Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent required. Specif technical training or vacational training is preferred, but not required.
    • 8+ years of machine set-up expereince required.
    • 15+ years of machining experience required.
    • Computer programming and CAD/CAM experience required.
    • Advanced blueprint reading and granite plate measuring skills required.
    • Knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
    • Knowledge of DOD and/or aerospace manufactring preferred
    • Possess strong organizatioin and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of Quality assurance practices and procedures, including both ISO 9001 and AS9100
    • Knowledge of Government contractings requirements.

    You should be proficient in:

    • CNC Tooling
    • CAD Software
    • Machine Setups for Production Runs
    • Excellent Communication Skills
    • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
    • Blueprint Reading

    Machines & technologies you'll use:

    • CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) (Fanuc, Mazak, Doosan, Dmg Mori Seiki)
    • CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) (Mazak, Haas, Doosan, Dmg Mori Seiki)
    • CAD Software
    • CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC) (Mazak, Dmg Mori Seiki)
    • CNC Lathe (5+ axis) (Doosan, Dmg Mori Seiki)

    Salary info:

    $32 - $40 / hr
