Hotel Regional Director of Operations
Position: Regional Director of Operations
Strategically direct a multi brand portfolio of hotels to maximize profits and achieve brand service standards while providing leadership, direction and mentorship to hotel leaders.
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Essential Job Functions
Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards consistent with our core values.
Supervise development of and revision to hotels’ business plans and annual budgets.
Review and analyze financial reports, annual and monthly forecasts.
Communicate strategic plans and periodic financial results to senior leaders, owners and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Partner with above property and regional revenue and sales and marketing leaders to ensure maximization of revenues and profits, adherence to internal controls, optimization of productivity and a coordination of efforts towards achieving overall objectives.
Assist and direct property leadership in revenue growth, market share performance and sales initiatives in coordination with the corporate support team to achieve positive outcomes.
Provide leadership and mentorship consistent with our core values in the areas of setting goals, recognizing achievement and developing other leaders.
Act as the liaison with the owners of the properties by establishing and maintaining effective relationships.
Travel to attend corporate meetings, sales trips and serve on committees.
Monitor quality assurance scores and/or guest feedback and communicate to and train general managers and associates accordingly.
Practice safe work habits.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
Position Requirements
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in business, hospitality or a related field preferred.
5 to 10 years previous hotel experience in a management position
Requires standing for extended periods, walking, lifting up to 15 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
Frequent travel is required.
Strong organizational and communication skills are critical for success.
