Responsibilities: • Data Entry: Input, verify, and update settlement information accurately in the database. • Release Management: Communicate with opposing parties to obtain, review, and ensure completeness of releases. • Funds Collection: Coordinate with opposing counsel to facilitate payments and track fund receipt schedules. • Prepare, organize, and maintain settlement-related legal documents with precision. • Act as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and opposing counsel, providing updates and ensuring clarity. • Research and Analysis: Analyze settlement agreements for discrepancies and collaborate with legal teams for resolution. • Work with team members to ensure efficient settlement procedures and participate in process improvement discussions. • Notarization: Must be (or become) a Notary Public - Authenticate the signing of legal documents. - Verify the identity of individuals signing documents to ensure compliance with legal standards. Qualifications: • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. • Proficiency in data entry and experience with legal databases or case management software. • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset. • Familiarity with legal documents, processes, and settlement procedures is preferred. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required. Compensation: $18 - $20 hourly
