  • Responsibilities

    A global real estate investment firm, headquartered in New York City, is seeking a Settlement Officer to join its growing operations team. The successful candidate will support daily settlement operations for U.S. and global equities, ensure trade accuracy and timeliness, and contribute to a variety of operational, compliance, and reporting functions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform the full spectrum of daily settlement operations for U.S. and international equities.

    • Manage trade settlements, fund and securities deposits/withdrawals.

    • Act as a backup for monitoring corporate action events across multiple products and markets.

    • Investigate and resolve trade discrepancies with brokers and internal stakeholders.

    • Reconcile daily transactions and positions between internal records and custodians/brokers.

    • Deliver daily portfolio reports to internal teams.

    • Serve as the main liaison with prime brokers, internal accounting, external fund administrators, and auditors.

    • Assist in account opening and ongoing account maintenance.

    • Review and update operational and compliance procedures.

    • Support preparation and submission of annual regulatory filings, including ADV updates.

    • Perform ad hoc tasks as required by management.

    • Contribute to special projects involving monthly close processes, budgeting, audits, investor/lender requirements, and more.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or related field.

    • Minimum 1 year of experience in settlement operations for U.S. and global stock markets.

    • Familiarity with U.S. settlement processes and regulatory compliance.

    • Proficient in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    • Proactive, self-disciplined, and able to work both independently and in a team environment.

    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

    • High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

    • Customer-service orientation with a professional demeanor.

  • Compensation
    $80,000-$110,000 per year
