  • Responsibilities

    Join an established ENT practice with 1 full-time ENT surgeon, a full-time Allergist/Immunologist, and an Audiologist in Fergus Falls, MN. This position would work in the outpatient, inpatient, and surgical departments to help support the general ENT patient population.


    • Full-time position in Fergus Falls, MN primarily in an outpatient setting to assist with ENT practice; 32 patient contact hours/week requirement.


    • Most post-operative patients are discharged, but those that are admitted the APP would round on in our hospital, which is conveniently located in the same location as our surgical and clinic location.


    • It is anticipated that after trained into the position, the ENT APP will be comfortable direct scheduling patients for surgery for bread and butter cases such as eustachian tube placement, tonsillectomies, & small excisions/cystectomies and roughly 55% of new patients would be seen by the APP first depending on chief complaint from patient.


    • Ambulatory procedures/duties include: Adult eustachian tube placement, tube checks, ear wax removal, steroid injections into eardrum, drain removals, suture removals, and wound management. Other duties aside from direct patient care include: In basket management, medication refills, managing referrals to and from therapy services, and assisting ENT during the surgeon’s virtual clinic days to take photos/videos of the eardrum and throat.



    EDUCATION & LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:

    • License to practice medicine & DEA in Minnesota upon start
    • Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
    • Successful completion of PANCE board examination for Physician Assistant candidates or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
    • BLS required

    COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:

     

    • Base compensation salary is guaranteed starting at $118,000/year for the first 2 years of employment, plus the opportunity to earn additional income based on production volumes.


    • $2,000 annual CME reimbursement & paid professional dues and memberships


    • Relocation reimbursement & sign on bonus

       

    • 7% annual employer contributions into 401K plan; fully vested to the employee at the time the employee is eligible to participate in the plan after 6 months of employment.
