We are a Veteran disability consulting firm looking to add veteran claims examiners to our case management department. We are seeking three (3) candidates that know about how claims are processed with the United States Department of Veteran Affairs and how to efficiently help our clientele of Veterans with their disability compensation and pension claims.
We are also offering a $3000 signing bonus to selected candidates who have experience with Veteran disability compensation and pension claims. Veterans are HIGHLY encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Use 38 CFR parts 3 and 4 to research to support the claim and case development
Draft HLRs, supplemental claims, and appeals for Veterans and partner law firms
Investigate facts to help in the development of a claim
Be able to identify additional compensatory benefits for Veterans via disability ratings
Effective communication with Veterans regarding their benefits and options
Record, transcribe, and store client information via company databases
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a veteran service officer or related field
Familiarity with Veteran disability claims and issues affecting the Veteran community
Ability to research and identify key points of a client's concern
Results-driven and compassionate to help others
Ability to prioritize and multitask while working independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Earned a baccalaureate degree in a related field or 3 years of veteran claims experience. Military service counts towards the degree requirement.
