    DESCRIPTION: Serve as an Exhibit Specialist I within the Training Division Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) Section at Fort Rucker, Alabama. The Installation TADDS Facility will support Active Army, Reserve Components, Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC), National Guard, and other organizational entities in the functional areas centered around Common Levels of Support (CLS) service.

    The work includes origination, design, fabrication, reproduction, consultation, demonstration, testing, as well as the maintenance and repair of devices, training aids, and scaled models of Army equipment that may include electronic components. Products include, but are not limited to, training devices, mock-ups, scale models, terrain models, field markers and training signs, mechanically operational, and electronic devices. Graphic art products will be provided by the Government for incorporation into training devices. Training devices shall conform to format and applicable Federal and DOD standards of quality assurance and OSHA requirements and shall be equal in quality to standard quality samples. Devices, products, and services shall be completed by the time specified on the approved work request. All materials designed, developed, fabricated, or purchased by the Contractor shall become the property of the Government.

    Requirements:

    • Familiarization with basic wiring and electronics
    • Experience operating off of prints, layouts, written instructions, sketches, technical manual pages, photographs, and rough drafts for design and device fabrications.
    • Experience with power tools (saws, drills, grinders, sanders)
    • Experience with basic welding procedures
    • Experience with 3D printing and molding
    • Basic knowledge of construction and fabricating work to include painting (developing products made from a variety of materials, components, and parts, to include all types and grades of wood, fabrics, metals, plastics, plasters, protective coatings, cements, solvents, clays, transformers, transistors, diodes, fiberglass reinforcement, or any combination thereof).
    • Experience with forklift, scissor lift, boom lift
    • Basic computer experience.
    • Driver's License with a clean driving background.
    • Ability to perform basic facilities maintenance and clean-up functions required for the health, safety, appearance, and general day-to-day operation of the work facility.
