Overview

Production and publication of computer generated diagrams, pictures, drawings and illustrations that will be used in various online and print publications.  

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER

• Create and design various materials from storyboarding to final for print and digital production
• Create 2D and 3D artwork
• Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule
• Establish creative direction for each project assigned ensuring all guidelines and policies for branding are followed
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
• Perform retouching and manipulation of images
• Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software
• Programs used at the work center to create required documents are:

         o Microsoft word

         o Excel

         o PowerPoint

         o Publisher

         o Adobe

         o Frame Maker 9

         o Illustrator

         o Photoshop

         o InDesign

         o Acrobat Pro 9 and X

         o LiveCycle

         o Flash Developer

QUALIFICATIONS FOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER

• Bachelor's degree in graphic arts and design
• 3 years of experience in graphic design
• Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Publisher, Adobe, Frame Maker 9, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Pro 9 and X, LiveCycle, Flash Developer
• Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent eye for detail
