    POSITION SUMMARY Under minimal supervisor the Sewing Coordinator (ND) is responsible for overseeing the daily workflow of sewing operations, ensuring garments are produced accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. This role serves as a key liaison between, cutting, sewing teams, and quality control, translating production requirements into clear direction for execution. Duties are not limited to those listed and may be expanded based on business needs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Coordinates and manages daily sewing production workflow, and ensuring jobs are prioritized and assigned appropriately

    Tracks production timelines and monitor progress to meet deadlines and shipment schedules

    Distributes work to sewing team members based on skill level, capacity, and order priority

    Interprets design specifications, tech packs, and construction details into clear instructions for sewing teams

    Serves as the primary point of communication between sewing, QC, and production teams

    Identifies and resolves production issues, including construction challenges, and workflow bottlenecks

    Ensures all garments meet construction standards and approved design specifications prior to Quality Control

    Monitors efficiency and workflow, making adjustments as needed to improve productivity

    Coordinates reworks, rush orders, and mid-production changes with minimal disruption

    Supports continuous improvement efforts in sewing processes and production flow

    Monitors progress, resolves issues, and maintains organization across all sewing production to support high-quality output and on-time delivery.

    Generates invoices for sewing contractors using agreed rates or pricing structures, verified production quantities and approved scope of work

    Cross-checks all invoices against original rate agreement, completed units reported and any pre-approved adjustments.

    Acts as sewing team lead, assists with training and onboarding of sewing team as needed

    Maintains accurate documentation of invoice details, production support, and contractor approvals

    ADDITIONAL GENERAL DUTIES

    Tracks and manages website samples when issued to sewing staff for sample construction, ensuring proper documentation and return

    Maintains inventory of sewing accessories, including but not limited to zippers, buttons, thread, and trims

    Ensures all accessories and materials are returned to their designated storage locations after use

    Maintains clear records of invoice amounts

    Provides cross-functional support across production departments during peak seasonal periods as needed

    Performs other duties as assigned

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    2 to 3 years’ experience in apparel production, Multi-lingual a plus, especially Spanish and /or Vietnamese, Experience in uniform, athletic apparel, or performance wear production

    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

    3+ years of experience in garment production, sewing, or related field

    High school diploma or equivalent GED

    Trade school or formal training in apparel production is preferred

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    Strong knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, and production processes

    Experience in a production or manufacturing environment (costumes, uniforms, or apparel preferred)

    Ability to read and interpret tech packs, patterns, and construction notes

    Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality

    Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

    Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities

    Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Excel and Word.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on a production floor

    Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.

    Visual acuity to inspect garments and construction details

    Hand dexterity to operate equipment

    Problem-solving skills related to artwork and production issues
