    SewingMachinesPlus.com, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Store Manager to join our team in San Diego, CA.

    Who we are:

    We are a family-owned company and have been involved in the sewing and vacuum business for over 40 years. We run a successful sewing machine and vacuum sales and service business with two locations in California. Our original store is located in San Marcos, and we have added a second location in San Diego, on Mission Bay Dr. Thanks to our wonderful customers, we expanded our original sales floor to over 10,000 square feet, built bigger classrooms, added new convenient location in the heart of San Diego and work daily on updating our online shopping site

    Summary

    Manages retail store engaged in selling specific, related, or general lines of merchandise by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Plans directs or coordinates the actual distribution or movement of a product or service to the customer. Coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales quotas and goals and maintains training programs for sales representatives. Analyze sales statistics gathered by staff to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers. Prepares work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties. Oversees sales compensation records.

    Executes pricing policies on merchandise according to requirements for the profitability of store operations.

    Coordinates sales promotion activities and prepares, or directs workers preparing merchandise displays.Supervises employees engaged in all store activities, including sales work, taking of inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, or preparing daily record of transactions for Accountant, or performs work of subordinates, as needed.

    Prepares requisitions to replenish merchandise on hand.

    Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures and practices.

    Answers customer's complaints or inquiries.

    Locks and secures store.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    Directly supervises 5 or more employees in the SMP Satellite Location. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Education and/or Experience

    Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
