    Summary

    Plans and manages classes and event activities. Prepare post marketing and event analysis inclusive of ROI and Profit and Loss. Coordinate classes, events, meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, staffing, and organizing all off site and on site events for multiple retail locations. On site management, will be required for all events including establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and helping with sales transactions. Market Retail locations using traditional marketing methods, social media, and on and off site POP. Assist and coordinate with any and all media production regardless of the distribution method.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Develops, prioritizes, and implements tactical project plans, including customer promotion programs, press events, local sales events, and trade show activities.

    Prepares detailed proposals of events for executive team approval. (timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing, and budgets).

    Securing and booking suitable locations.

    Planning room layouts and the entertainment program and preparing and all event on site packets and papers. Ensuring insurance, legal, health, and safety obligations are adhered to.

    Coordinating venue management, caterers, stand designers (booth and venue set up), and contractors and equipment for hire.

    Negotiates contracts and maintains relationships with preferred vendors.

    Compiles estimated cost models, submits final budget, tracks budget statistics, and prepares management reports. Assists in theme, demo, and exhibit space layout development for trade show booths.

    Makes space reservations for trade show booths, and coordinates shipping of booth materials, booth setup, staffing, demos, and lead collection.

    Manages the creation of internal and external promotional pieces.

    Coordinates registration and payment procedures, promotional advertising and mailings, and corporate sponsorship activities.

    Organizes required catering services and room and communication equipment setup. Manages on-site staffing and registration.

    Determines appropriates responses to problems and emergencies.

    Provides project status updates.

    Keeps a detailed event file on each and every event inclusive of pre and post financial information, contact information for all vendor partners, invoices and receipts for all expenses, and a detailed labor breakdown for all employees.

    Create local store marketing strategies and campaigns and undertake all duties necessary to deliver such strategies and marketing objectives.

    Draft and issue press releases, features and editorials for as needed, ensuring that they are written in a professional manner and to meet relevant deadlines, liaising with any 3rd parties, arranging and attending photo-calls to take photos as needed.

    Representing or speaking on behalf of Sewing Machines Plus at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations.

    Measuring and analyzing activity against marketing targets and building on success of activities.
