    SewingMachinesPlus.com, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Salesperson to join our team in Escondido, CA.

    We are a family owned company and have been involved in the sewing and vacuum business for over 40 years. We run a successful sewing machine and vacuum sales and service business with two locations in California. Our original store is located in San Marcos, and we have added a second location in San Diego, on Mission Bay Dr. Thanks to our wonderful customers, we expanded our original sales floor to over 10,000 square feet, built bigger classrooms, added new convenient location in the heart of San Diego and work daily on updating our online shopping site.

    Summary

    Receives (by telephone, email, or fax) requests for quotations, orders and lead times from existing and potential customers by performing the following duties.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Helps develop established script to use when calling prospects.

    Receives telephone requests for price quotations and purchase orders.

    Offers price quotes in response to phone or email inquiries. Prepares quote forms as needed for institutions requiring purchase orders.

    Calls prospective customers in designated market area to qualify leads and explain type of service or product offered.

    Informs current and prospective customers of current promotions and new or upgraded products.

    Quotes prices and encourages customers to buy.

    Checks customer credit and confirms full payment before approving any sale.

    Maintains files of active orders and posts activities to ordering systems, including any notes, change orders, backorders, etc.

    Prepares and/or monitors "paperwork" flow.

    Secures and places orders with others for filling.

    Enters names, addresses, purchases, and reactions of prospects solicited into computer database system.

    Follows up with customers to assure satisfaction, respond to queries, solicit further sales, and solve or refer problems.

    Develops lists of prospects from city and telephone directories, trade and professional association membership lists, and other public records.

    Prepares report on sales activities.

    Education and/or Experience

    Mathematical Skills
