    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Reads computer files or gathers records such as purchase orders, sales tickets, and charge slips, to compile needed data.

    Enters information into computer or computes amounts due.

    Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and total accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases.

    Investigates problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills.

    Reconciles general ledger accounts with various registers. Extracts general ledger information. Reconciles bank statements.

    Posts transactions to accounting records such as work sheet, ledger, or computer files.

    Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections.

    Audits manually written or online data.

    Corrects errors or lists discrepancies for adjustment.

    Education and/or Experience

    One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Skills

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Computer Skills

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise Accounting software; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office Word Processing software.
