The Sexual Assault Services and Information (SASI) Program is committed to the prevention of sexual violence through education, prevention and advocacy in Laredo and Webb County. While supporting survivors on their paths to healing and justice.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Recruit, screen and coordinate trainings for volunteers to advocate for survivors of sexual violence.
• Responds to crisis calls at local hospitals to accompany and support survivors during the medical exam to collect medical forensic evidence after a sexual assault.
• Rotate on-call schedule for after-hours crisis calls.
• Provide case management and referrals
• Conducts awareness campaigns to promote the program efforts.
• Develop and manage social media campaigns to engage target community.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Must be available to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
• Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
