    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Four-year degree behavioral or social science preferred; and/or one-year equivalent sexual assault violence advocacy, case management, and/or counseling experience.

    2. Ability to network with community services agencies and maintain good interagency relations.

    3. The ability to work flexible hours as needed, including evening, weekend and on-call hours.

    4. Must pass an extensive background check, have a valid driver’s license and maintain access to reliable transportation.

    JOB SUMMARY: Work directly with survivors of sexual assault, facilitating care and providing non-clinical support for immediate and long-term needs. Provide advocacy to survivors through crisis intervention, accompaniment to forensic exams, assisting with navigating the criminal justice system and offering resources and referrals.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Provide sexual assault advocacy services in a multitude of settings. These services include but are not limited to:

    · Respond to calls from law enforcement and State Attorney’s office personnel requesting advocacy services for sexual assault victims.

    · Provide information and referrals to victims during crisis situations, or when requested by others in non-emergency situations.

    · Assistance in filing Victim’s Compensation claims · Advocate for clients with law enforcement, State Attorney’s Office, County Clerk’s office and any other criminal justice personnel. · Provide referrals for mental health counseling.

    1. Arrange forensic exam on site with SANE nurses or off site at another sexual assault center and accompany survivor to the exam. Assist SANE nurse in preparing the forensic kit and take custody of evidence to turn over to law enforcement.

    2. Maintain Quigley House resource manual to confirm listings are current and update as necessary.

    3. Maintain confidential client files, including services documentation in Osnium and the Sexual Violence Data Registry.

    4. Perform community outreach activities such as lectures, presentations and other speaking engagements as needed. Attend community events to promote agency services. Maintain a consistent presence within the community and act as an ambassador for the agency.

    5. Maintain both FCASV and DCF certifications by attending annual training that meets certification guidelines, as well as training on forensic program management, record reviews and monitoring.

    6. Every staff member is responsible for the following:

    · Understand and promote the culture of philanthropy. · Serve as a philanthropic ambassador within the organization and community. · Help cultivate relationships on behalf of and in support of the organization. · Work with development staff to support grant applications and other development activities.
