    THE POSITION

    Sezzle is looking for a GM of Canada to lead Sezzle's Canadian operations.  This position is integral to Sezzle's growth, as the first general manager in a new geographic territory.  Your responsibilities will include driving top-line revenue with merchant and user acquisition, marketing Sezzle to the Canadian market, hiring a cross-functional team and rapidly scaling up operations.

    The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of B2B sales and marketing, leading teams, delivering growth, and scaling operations at a fast-growing technology company.  Extensive experience in eCommerce, payments, and/or retail is preferred.  

    This is a full-time position based out of Toronto, Canada.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee Sezzle's day-to-day operations in Canada
    • Develop growth strategy for Canadian market
    • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
    • Manage a sales and business development team to acquire new merchant partners
    • Recruit and retain a cross-functional team
    • Ensure Sezzle is compliant with all Canadian laws and regulations
    • Work closely with Sezzle leadership in the U.S. to set international strategy and report on KPI's

    RECOMMENDED ATTRIBUTES

    • 5+ years of experience selling payment services or technology into retail
    • 5+ years of experience leading teams at a payments or technology company
    • Experience recruiting and leading a cross-functional team
    • Track record of launching a product in a new geographic market and delivering on KPIs
    • Deep understanding of the retail/eCommerce industry and its key players
    • Bachelor's degree, MBA a plus
    • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking ability
    • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
    • Entrepreneurial drive and track record
