    The Administrator is responsible for the ongoing evaluation of each consumer’s care and program needs as well as other aspects of operating the facility in accordance with Title 17 and 22 regulations. The Administrator will report directly to the CEO or Board of Directors.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

    • Must be 21 years of age.

    • Must possess a current Administrator Certificate issued from the California Department of Social Services.

    • Must possess a current Registered Behavior Technician Certification

    • Must possess a valid first aid card and CPR

    • Must possess a current California Driver’s License.

    • Must have at least a high school diploma or pass a general educational development test (GED).

    • Must be in good health, which will be verified by a physical health screening, including a test for tuberculosis.

    • Must pass a criminal record clearance and fingerprinted through Live Scan.

    • Knowledge of the requirements for providing the type of care and supervision needed by clients, including the ability to communicate with such clients.

    • Knowledge and ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

    • Ability to maintain or supervise the maintenance of financial and other records.

    • Ability to direct the work of others.

    • Ability to establish the facility’s policy, program and budget.

    • Ability to recruit, employ, train, and evaluate qualified staff, and to terminate employment of staff, if applicable to the facility.

    • Have a minimum of two years of prior experience providing direct care or supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities and be one of the following: Registered Behavior Technician; Licensed Psychiatric Technician; Qualified Behavior Modification Professional.

    • Must have completed Direct Care training, shall successfully complete both segments of the competency-based training and passage of the competency test, or pass the challenge test, prior to or within one year of employment.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Will have 24 hours responsibility regarding the day to day operation of the facility. Must be in the facility a minimum of 20 hours per week.
    • Advise licensee/Board of Directors on the operation of the facility and on the developments in the field of care and supervision.
    • Develop administrative plans and procedures to define lines of responsibility, workload and staff supervision.
    • Recruitment, employment and training of qualified staff and termination of staff and consultants.
    • Ensure services provided to each client are within required laws and regulations, including those services identified in each client’s individual needs and services plans.
    • Regularly participates in providing direct care services to the clients.
    • Participates in performing assessments and oversees the collection of data.
    • Effectively communicates program objectives and systems of implementation to all involved clients and staff.
    • Oversees the completion and thoroughness of documentation.
    • Assures that all other needs in the facility are addressed including but not limited to the following: basic care and personal management, medications, facility maintenance, housecleaning, house and client monies, recreational and social activities, medical and hygienic needs, menu planning and marketing, vehicle care and maintenance, etc.
    • Distributes the workload fairly and effectively among staff.
    • Attends and facilitates weekly staff meeting with facility staff.
    • Attends and facilitates “house meetings” with staff and consumers when appropriate.
    • Participates in medication review process if applicable.
    • Attend designated trainings and in-services.
    • Others duty as assigned by the CEO or Board of Directors.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Knowledge of local developmental service delivery system and interdisciplinary process; special features underlying the work with people who have developmental disabilities; ability to plan, supervise and evaluate the work of others; communicate effectively with a wide variety of people, analyze administrative as well as domestic issues and provide resolution; possess writing skills and the ability to prepare statistical and narrative reports; leadership; creativity; pleasant and positive attitude. Must have experience in developmental disabilities and mental health issues. Must be able to train staff on consultants’ recommendations.

We are governed by CA Title 22 and Title 17 regulations and licensed by the California Department of Social Services, and monitored by both California Department of Social Services and Golden Gate Regional Center.
