Yoga Studio Wellness Center Director / Manager of Programs, Classes, Brand Experience, Team Management, Training, Retention, Quality, Sales

We do that through intelligent sequencing, incorporation of yoga philosophy into every class, and continuous effort driven community engagement. We are looking for an extensively experienced Yoga Studio Director to become a vital part of our team and community. We are looking for the right candidate to fit into one of the following scenarios:1. Candidate that can both manage the studio operationally (including sales), and teach and lead our yoga educational programs. In this role you will be given the support of an assistant manager. 2. Alternatively for the right candidate who does NOT teach yoga, yet has extensive experience running a wellness space, hitting aggressive sales targets, and managing a team and overall operations excellently, we instead of an assistant manager will hire a lead teacher and teacher train-or to support the needs of the studio. Scenario 1:
Long term commitment of 3-5 years minimum.
Design the class curriculum and standards across multiple styles including Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Sculpt, and more. Ability to bring on alternative barre and 26&2 teachers to provide input on development of these programs.
Constantly take classes and give constructive, helpful feedback and mentoring to our amazing team of experienced teachers
Teach 4-6 classes per week
Learn names of the majority of the community, set an example, and support teachers and front desk staff in learning names as well
Support the community of teachers, students, and other staff
Schedule classes, observe time changes needed to improve class times, ensure smooth class transitions, place teachers in appropriate teaching slots, keep up with retention, and much more
Recruit, Interview, audition, and Hire incredible Teachers with 500+ Hours of teacher training and adequate experience
Recruit, interview, and hire strong, vibrant front desk who you will train to maintain the brand experience and hit sales targets
Hit sales targets yourself for memberships, retention, and teacher training sign ups
Participate in Marketing Efforts across the board
Provide weekly and monthly reports of retention, attendance, progress, goals met, projections, and more to owners.
Lead 200 and 300 hour teacher trainings as well as other trainings and continuing education for teachers and students
Create Workshops
Lead monthly meetings with teachers
Lead weekly front desk staff meetings and sales trainings
Implement all studio protocols across different divisions of the studio
Maintain the Brand Experience across all aspects and staff of the studio
Work closely with the front of the house/sales/front desk to ensure smooth operations of the entire studio including managing front desk scheduling and teacher class scheduling.
Administrative Work, Scheduling, Ordering, and more.
Finding Subs both long term and Emergency Last Minute
5 - 6 days per week on schedule, 60-70 hours per week.
Support Studio Sales and maintain self targets and team targets for Revenue
Observe and adapt to the student and industry landscape to stay relevant and competitive
Organize retreats
Create Class outlines
Support teachers in expanding anatomical, safety, and injury prevention skills in their teaching
Arrange for outside industry leading teachers to come and provide continuing education for our teachers
Work closely with the support of an assistant manager who can support your administrative, training, and front of house responsibilities.
Requirements
10 + Years Teaching Experience
At least 1,000 Hours of Teacher Training Hours (Can be a combination of 200, 300, and other continuing education or other styles studied, including meditation and philosophy of Yoga/Buddhism).
BA preferred
You have led at least Four (4) 200 Hour Teacher Trainings approved with Yoga Alliance
Experience leading 300 hour training is preferred
3-5 years of Team Management experience in upper level management
Ability to create reports both financial and otherwise, goal projection, and ability to meet and exceed goals and standards
Ability to lead a team in a motivating, uplifting, efficient, and effective way to drive results and encourage loyalty and commitment
Experience in Yoga specific sales and willingness to continually improve your sales skills
Willing to continually seek and participate in Team leadership and management courses to grow as a leader within our organization.
Open minded ability to adapt to constant changes in the industry
Strict Confidentiality to business practices and the ability to protect our methods and proprietary information from competitors
Scenario 2 (Non Yoga Teacher):
Long term commitment of 3-5 years minimum.
Constantly take classes and give constructive feedback to teachers on logistical and certain brand experience components excluding extensive teaching feedback which would be given by the lead teacher.

Support the community of teachers, students, and other staff

Requirements
BA Required (Exceptions can be made for super star candidates with a proven track record of managerial, training, and sales expertise at previous organizations. MA Preferred
5+ years of Team Management experience in upper level management
3-5 years as a general manager or similar role managing an organization of 30+ team members.
Ability to create reports both financial and otherwise, goal projection, and ability to meet and exceed goals and standards
Ability to lead a team in a motivating, uplifting, efficient, and effective way to drive results and encourage loyalty and commitment
Experience in specific membership sales
Extensive sales training and ability to train others in sales including overcoming objections related to the wellness industry.
Willing to continually seek and participate in Team leadership and management courses to grow as a leader within our organization.
Open minded ability to adapt to constant changes in the industry
Strict Confidentiality to business practices and the ability to protect our methods and proprietary information from competitors
Timely, professional, hard working, and looking to grow in a long term role.
More information on either role: For the right candidate this will be a long term position that can grow into a regional director of multiple locations and will include stock and/or profit share participation in the business. -Includes Base Salary of $65k-80k BOE plus aggressive calendar year end bonus based on overall performance and sales goals achieved. -Healthcare coverage or stipend after 120 days. -Includes 1 week of paid vacation per year, to increase in year two to 2 weeks. -Other Benefits included to be discussed.
