    Exciting Opportunities with Share Food Program! We are looking for a Warehouse Assistant to add to our team!

    Share Food Program (“Share”) is the largest-serving hunger relief organization in the Philadelphia region, and one of the largest independent food banks in the nation. Before the Covid-19 crisis began, Share distributed food to 700,000 neighbors in need each month. The need has risen sharply since early 2020—Share now serves more than 1 million each month.

    Under the supervision of the Warehousing and Facilities Director, the Warehouse Assistant's role will be responsible for safely loading and staging food products and helping warehouse operations run smoothly.

    • Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles using a manual pallet jack, electric jack, or forklift
    • Pack, restack, and wrap pallets
    • Sort through donations/damaged food
    • Sweep and remove trash from warehouse floor
    • Operate baler, including loading and unloading
    • Ensure that all safety policies and procedures are adhered to
    • Additional duties as required

    The successful candidate will also meet the following qualifications:

    • Proven experience working in warehousing, manufacturing, or production
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Customer service experience
    • Strong work ethic

    Physical Requirements:

    • Position requires ability to operate a forklift
    • Position requires standing or walking up to 75% of the time
    • Position requires repetitive hand motion
    • Position requires lifting up to 60 pounds at times

    Environmental Risks:

    • Position includes potential exposure to fumes, loud noises, vibration, extreme temperature, allergens, and confined spaces up to 100% of the time.

    Job Type: Full-time

    This role offers an hourly rate of $20.00 per hour and a 40-hour work week. Different shifts are available.

    Available Shifts:

    • Tuesday through Saturday 10 am to 6 pm
    • Monday through Friday 6 am to 2 pm
