POSITION:

We are currently seeking a limited term Civil Engineering Technician to our Minnesota program. This position will be involved in construction observation for a civil project including water, sewer, drainage and road infrastructure. The job site will be located in northwestern Minnesota, near the City of Park Rapids. This project specific position will be variable hours based on workload. It is projected that this role will be 40 hours in the summer of 2020 through fall 2020. The construction will be put on hold in November 2020, with final construction work occurring in April 2021 through June 2021.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Construction observation on an upcoming project at northwestern Minnesota which will be an 15 month duration (project specific position)
• Project plan set & specifications review and interpretation
• Work with the contractor to ensure the project is completed to specifications and client’s satisfaction
• Assist in resolving construction issues that arise
• Communicate directly with the public and government officials on project updates

Required Skills Required Experience

• 5-10 or more years of civil engineering design construction observation experience required
• Prior municipal infrastructure experience preferred
• A valid driver’s license is required
• Detail oriented and effective communication skills
