POSITION SUMMARY:
Mail Order Pharmacy Specialists are the primary point of contact for our pharmacy partners and health care providers, acting as liaisons to our advocacy team to ensure members are frequently updated with the most current and accurate information. Pharmacy Specialists are detail oriented and put great care into their accuracy and accountability, entering prescription data and speaking with health care providers to obtain accurate information.
This is a full-time opportunity; selected applicants will work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effectively communicate to providers who SHARx is and obtain corrected prescriptions when needed
- Provide education and guidance to members regarding their order when needed
- Accurately prepare and submit prescription mail orders for fulfillment through outside pharmacies
- Communicate with pharmacy partners to stay well informed and pass pertinent information on to involved parties
- Maintain detailed, written documentation of all actions and interactions
- Take ownership of their role in the process to ensure accurate completion from start to finish
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Customer service oriented and a willingness to help
- Well-spoken and comfortable with professional communication via phone and email
- Prioritization and solution-based thinking to find a result for our members and determine when to escalate a complex problem
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and within a team
- Proficient with computers and comfortable with heavy utilization of internet-based resources
- Experience reading prescriptions and ability to perform calculations
- 1 or more years experience in customer service
- 1 or more years of relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician or similar required
- Data entry experience is a plus
