    Company: Shayne & Jacobs, LLC, a well-established and highly reputable investment management firm located in Green Hills, Nashville, is seeking a talented Portfolio Administrator to join our dedicated team.

    Job Description:

    We are looking for a Portfolio Administrator to play a crucial role in the efficient and compliant management of our four-person office. You will have a mix of responsibilities, including portfolio administration, compliance support, client interaction, and office management. We value friendliness, attention to detail, and a positive approach to work. This is a serious job that delivers real value to our office and our clients. That said, our leadership team is known for being thoughtful and patient, and, at least occasionally, having a sense of humor. We take pride in our inclusive work environment and are open to remote work one day per week, once a training period is complete, and when work flow permits. This job might be especially attractive to someone who has worked successfully at a larger firm, as our two principals once did, and who would now prefer something that is more personal.

    Responsibilities:

    • Portfolio Administration: Manage portfolio accounting, perform reconciliations, and maintain accurate records of transactions
    • Compliance Support: Assist in ensuring that the firm complies with all regulatory requirements, including filings with our principal regulator, the SEC.
    • Client Contact: Interact with clients to provide excellent service, including creation of new accounts, transfers of funds and securities, and other client-related matters
    • Maintain Confidentiality: Handle sensitive client information with the utmost discretion and security
    • Office Management: Oversee payroll, health insurance, invoices and payments, etc.
    • Basic Math: Competently handle basic mathematical calculations required for portfolio administration

    Requirements:

    • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or, alternatively, strong academic credentials and a sincere interest in building a career in investment management at our firm
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, client-focused demeanor
    • Proficiency and confidence with basic mathematical calculations
    • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently
