Sheet Metal Fabricator

Contract to Hire | Fridley, MN | $26.00 – $32.00 per hour (DOE)

Konik is partnering with a manufacturing company that is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join their team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and programming press brake equipment to fabricate precision sheet metal components used in our equipment assemblies. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint reading skills, hands-on press brake programming experience, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and program CNC press brake machines
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine bend sequences and specifications
• Perform precision bending operations to meet tolerance requirements
• Conduct in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are met
• Adjust machine settings and tooling as needed for optimal performance
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve fabrication issues
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience setting up, operating, and programming press brakes
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
• Experience programming press brakes
• Turret punch press experience is a plus
