JOB SUMMARY

The Sheet Metal Foreman will be responsible for oversight of the metal shop in the fabrication of sheet metal for commercial roofing systems in the sheet metal shop.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Train, mentor and evaluate crew members to improve skills and efficiency, productivity and quality.

2. Coordinate with the installation crews installing the fabricated sheet metal to ensure quality control.

3. Review the job file and follow details specific to the job.

4. Collaborate with the Project Manager on the sheet metal progress for their projects.

5. Track jobs upcoming and scheduled with PM for optimum delivery times.

6. Collaborate with PM on Flat sheet metal orders.

7. Communicate through Project Channels as needed.

8. Manages the team fabricating the sheet metal and ensures payroll receives all-time records by the weekly deadline.

9. Inspect daily work for quality.

10. Oversee safety setup and make sure work areas always stay OSHA compliant. Hold team accountable for safety standards.

11. Manage materials, tools and equipment ensuring availability and proper use.

12. Submit documentation for crew incidents/accidents to Project Manager and Safety Department.

13. Performs other essential duties as assigned.

EQUIPMENT AND MACHINERY OPERATED

· Company vehicle and trailer

· Autobrake experience is a must

· Computer

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

· Knowledge of commercial sheet metal fabrication process

· Knowledge in basic computer skills

· Skilled in the use of autobrake

· Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Slack, Salesforce

· Ability to meet and exceed company standards.

· Ability to work quickly and accurately

· Ability to pay attention to quality and safety

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Two (2) years of experience in fabricating commercial sheet metal

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience using Salesforce

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, and kneel.

Must be able to lift 100 lbs.

WORK CONDITIONS

Works outside in all types of weather and may be exposed to extreme heat and cold, rain, snow, sun etc. May be exposed to animals such as dogs and snakes.

This is a safety sensitive position due to driving requirements or job responsibilities in whole include safety-sensitive tasks that require performing duties fraught with risk of injury to others where even a momentary lapse of attention may have grave and disastrous consequences.
