The Sheet Metal Mechanic will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC ductwork systems, ensuring proper airflow in residential, commercial, and industrial facilities. This role involves working with both sheet metal and flexible duct systems, performing fabrication and installation to meet project specifications and quality standards. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: To succeed in this role, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty effectively. The qualifications outlined represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the position. • Minimum 1 year of construction experience. • Knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork design, and installation techniques. • Must be able to work on a ladder or scissor lift. • Ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks. • Ability to diagnose issues and find solutions. • Ability to read blueprints and understand architectural and HVAC plans. • Attention to detail, ensuring accurate measurements, connections, and sealing of ductwork. • Customer service skills.
