    Our team is hiring a Shelf Life | Disposal Specialist for Warehouse Support Services for the Navy Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NMRLC), in Williamsburg, VA.

    The Shelf-Life Disposal Specialist supports shelf-life management, expiration tracking, and disposal operations for medical, industrial, and general supply materiel in support of Navy Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NMRLC) Expeditionary Medical Systems (EXMEDS). This position is responsible for ensuring shelf-life items are accurately tracked, inspected, dispositioned, and documented to maintain inventory integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness.

    The Shelf-Life Disposal Specialist works closely with inventory, receiving, hazardous materials, and warehouse teams to manage expired, near-expiration, and end-of-life material through proper storage, segregation, documentation, and disposal.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor, track, and validate shelf life expiration dates for medical, industrial, and general supply materiel
    • Conduct shelf life inspections and reviews to identify expired, excess, or ‑soon‑toexpire‑ items
    • Support shelf life extension, disposition, or disposal actions in accordance with approved procedures
    • Prepare and verify documentation for turn-in, disposal, or transfer of unserviceable or expired material
    • Coordinate movement and segregation of shelf life‑ material pending disposition or disposal
    • Maintain accurate shelf life status, condition, and disposition records in approved tracking or inventory systems
    • Perform quality checks on shelf life documentation to ensure accuracy and auditabilit‑y
    • Support processing of disposal actions, including coordination with designated disposal or turn‑in organizations
    • Operate material handling equipment (MHE) to move, stage, and process shelf‑life material safely
    • Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas in accordance with warehouse safety practices

    Required Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent

    • Experience in shelf life management within a warehouse, logistics, or supply environment, including receiving, inventory management, warehousing, and material handling activities

    Required Certifications & Licenses

    • Valid driver’s license
    • Ability to operate material handling equipment, including 4,000–6,000 lb. forklifts (certification may be obtained after hire, if required)

    Security Requirements

    Valid Driver’s License; All NMRLC contractor employees must be U.S. citizens and maintain a favorable federal suitability determination (typically NACI with SF‑85/SF‑85P) sufficient to obtain and retain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) for installation, system, and facility access. Continued eligibility is required throughout contract performance, and loss of CAC or suitability status may result in removal from the contract.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience supporting shelf life operations in a government or DoD warehouse environment
    • Familiarity with medical or regulated materiel shelf life handling
    • Experience supporting disposal, turn-in, or retrograde processes
    • Experience working with inventory or logistics tracking systems

    Preferred Skills

    • Strong attention to detail in expiration tracking and documentation
    • Ability to identify potential shelf life risks and escalate issues appropriately
    • Effective coordination skills across warehouse, inventory, and logistics teams
    • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy
    • Adaptability to workload changes and mission-driven timelines
