    Shepard Bros Inc, a premier family-owned manufacturer and supplier of specialty chemicals and services to a variety of industries in the Western U.S., is looking for an energetic and customer-focused, entry-level Quality Control Lab Technician at our La Habra facility. Responsibilities: • Conduct quality control tests on raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure adherence to standards. • Verify the quality of incoming bulk raw materials and obtain necessary certificates of analysis. • Perform calculations and adjustments on in-process products when required. • Offer assistance in troubleshooting quality control issues. • Maintain accurate and detailed quality control records using MS Excel and company software. • Actively participate in research and development meetings. • Generate Certificates of Analysis for all blended products. • Review batch sheets before production to ensure accuracy. • Organize and manage the rotation of retained samples. • Handle housekeeping tasks such as disposing of retains, washing bottles, and glassware. • Procure laboratory and safety supplies as necessary. • Aid in producing small batches/samples in the lab as requested. • Document all laboratory work meticulously. • Assist in calculating adjustments for reworking obsolete product inventory. • Cultivate positive professional relationships with customers, colleagues, and management. Qualifications: • Excellent command of the English language in reading, writing, and speaking. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently to meet deadlines independently. • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. • Familiarity with mathematical concepts including percentages, units of measure, and product quantities. • Skilled in interpreting job-related documents effectively. • Clear and effective written and verbal communication abilities. • Willingness to work additional hours when required. Compensation: $23 - $25 hourly
