    WNJ is seeking an experienced Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for their facility Sherman, TX. As a member of the Hospital's senior management team, the CNO implements hospital plans for providing nursing care, treatment, and clinical services to those patients requiring care treatment and services hospital's mission, in addition to maintaining an awareness of changes in healthcare matters that could have an impact on the success of the hospital.     JOB SUMMARY: The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) organizes and administers areas of clinical and patient care services to attain facility's objectives established by hospital administration. Hospital-wide programs, policies and procedures are developed to assess, evaluate and meet the needs of the patient. Develops and implements hospital plans for providing nursing care, treatment, and clinical services to those patients requiring care treatment and services. The CNO coordinates the administrative activities; analyzes and recommends the budget, conducts administrative studies of hospital operations and procedures. Implements an effective, ongoing program to measure, assess and improve the quality of care, treatment and services delivered to all patients. Provides direct supervision to nursing directors and establishes patient care policies and procedures.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

    1. Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
    2. BLS Provider Card upon hire and maintained current.
    3. Minimum of 5 years acute care experience required.
    4. Master's Degree in Nursing or related field required.
    5. Minimum of 2 years previous administrative experience preferred.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Plans, organizes and directs effectively to ensure the provision of excellent patient care to the population served. Works in collaboration with department managers to ensure compliance with company's mission, vision as well as federal, state, and other regulatory agencies requirements
    2. Formulates policies and identifies hospital needs. In collaboration with department managers, ensure optimum quality of care to all patients is provided.
    3. Plans and coordinates with CEO and Controller, utilizing the respective service managers for planning the budgeting requirements for personnel, performance of work, supplies, and equipment.
    4. Plans and recommends to CEO new equipment or department modifications as needed to provide patient care.
    5. Initiates and participates in problem solving, policy forming conferences for patient care services. Maintain close coordination with all departments to insure continuity and collaboration of services.
    6. Participates in the Board of Director's and Medical Staff departmental meetings
    7. Responsible for cost controls to insure maximum effectiveness of funds expended from approved departmental budgets.
    8. Supports an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces likelihood of medical/health care errors.
    9. Performs additional duties as assign.
