    Experienced Ophthalmic Technician

    We are looking for an experienced Ophthalmic Technician / Optometric Technician to join our growing team. We run an efficient and friendly office providing comprehensive eye care. Our patients expect fast, friendly service with great attention to detail.

    Responsibilities/Duties:

    Ability to operate ophthalmic diagnostic equipment including Pentacam, Corneal Topographer, OCT, Lenstar Biometry, Optos Fundus Photography, Visual Fields etc.

    Ability to perform Manual Refraction, autorefraction, and lensometry

    Ability or interest in learning to operate and maintain Excimer Laser, Femtosecond Laser, and Microkeratome

    Applies drops to anesthetize, dilate, or medicate eyes

    Prepares patients for treatment and assists ophthalmologists in LASIK surgery

    Counsels patients by providing information regarding treatment, use of drops and drugs

    Provides an Outstanding Patient experience!

    Is an ambassador for laser vision correction and cataract surgery

    Uses empathy and understanding to ensure the comfort of all patients

    Perform routine instrument maintenance

    Utilize Electronic Medical Records System (NexTech)

    Assist Doctors with inputting information into EMR system accurately

    Ensures confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records

    Maintain inventories and order supplies.

    Qualifications:

    High School Diploma or equivalent

    1 year experience as an ophthalmic technician, optometric technician, optometric assistant or ophthalmic assistant

    Ability to operate ophthalmic diagnostic equipment
