  • Responsibilities

    As the Shibusa BIM coordinator, you would have the opportunity develop and implement an innovative BIM workflow system to transform the construction and assembly process of healthy, attainable, and sustainable homes.  You would oversee BIM related technology and its adoption across our partner platform.  You would be an integral part of our design team facilitating the generation of digital housing models and integrated data from design to construction.

    ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage BIM software licenses including overseeing the installation of new software versions
    • Manage the implementation of BIM supporting software
    • Research new BIM related software
    • Establish and maintain organization-wide BIM standards and implementation processes
    • Provide BIM training internally
    • Have proficiency in BIM authoring tools to provide technical support and any necessary mentoring required for project teams to efficiently deliver housing solutions for clients
    • Manage and maintain project content and source any additional content as required
    • Coordinate and manage BIM project data sets/workflow and project set up
    • Communicate effectively and offer cross-team support
    • Set up linked models and coordinate models across disciplines
    • Manage and maintain sensitive and confidential information
    • Support the project team development of accurate construction drawings and extract data utilizing the multi-discipline BIM platform
    • Create a comprehensive methodology for coordinating design documentation across BIM disciplines, fully utilizing the suite of BIM software and tools
    • Collaborate and coordinate internally or/and externally with project teams’ design changes and model changes

    QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

    • Comprehension of how the BIM process applies to housing design from start to finish
    • Experience in generating Revit families and project standards
    • Excellent communication skills; listening, comprehension, and feedback
    • Ability to communicate technical subject matter to project team members and clients
    • Experience generating new solutions to solve BIM problems
    • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team as well as independently
    • Revit API programming experience is preferred but not required
    • Ability to manage performance and profitability
    • Ability to manage complex information analysis to help support implementation of Shibusa’s strategic plans
    • Strong time management skills
    • Strategic planning experience

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of three years of experience in working in the industry with an in-depth knowledge of the Autodesk Revit software in a similar role.
    • Experience with Oracle NetSuite preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in business management, computer science, industrial design, engineering, architecture or similar field preferred; degree from a technical college also acceptable
