    Shield HealthCare is looking for a TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST to work onsite in our Valencia, CA corporate office.  

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Confers with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills
    • Initiates contact with possibly qualified candidates for specific job openings
    • Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position
    • Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews with others in organization
    • Maintains ATS to ensure timely review of applications/resumes, and appropriate correspondence with applicants
    • Coordinates participation in, sets up display, and works at job fairs
    • Develops and maintains contacts with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants
    • Works with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates
    • Utilizes Internet online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates, to include approved Social Media outlets
    • Provides information on company benefits and job opportunities to potential applicants
    • Initiates and monitors applicant background screening, verifications of employment, and reference checks
    • Coordinates communication with applicants
    • Files and maintains employment records for future reference
    • Manages the testing process of applicants on technical abilities and personality profiling
    • Prepares job offers and job offer folders with appropriate documents

    QUALIFICATIONS 

    • Full cycle recruitment required 
    • Staffing agency recruiting experience preferred
    • College degree preferred
    • 2-3 years recruiting experience within a human resources environment preferred
    • Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding employment and general personnel practices
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
