    Site Superintendent position:

    Shields & Associates, Inc. is looking for a qualified candidate to fulfill an Site Superintendent position. This role performs management, coordination, and supervision of all job site and subcontractors. It includes coordinating all efforts to ensure customer satisfaction and overall success of a project. Superintendents will interact closely with Project Managers, Field Foremen, and Subcontractors. They will be responsible for the following:

    Manage day to day activities and prepare daily electronic field logs.

    Manage multiple tasks, crews and projects as well as be able to handles changes in project priority based on resource availability.

    Develop and maintain good working relationships with owner, subcontractors, and vendors.

    Communicate and promote safe working environment and company safety standards, with strong knowledge of OSHA regulations.

    Must be able to read plans and have a strong knowledge of various specifications and standards. Superintendent will inspect work in progress to ensure quality workmanship that conforms to contract specifications and standards.

    Confers with supervisory and engineering personnel and inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    Ability to read and understand plans and specifications

    Ability to prepare job schedules (Microsoft Project)

    3 years of experience as an Site Superintendent or other construction related experience

    3 years of experience managing and directing field personnel

    Strong organization, multi-tasking, leadership and decision-making ability.

    Ability to work cooperatively with a team in a fast-paced and complex environment

    Ability to work in safety all the times.

    Ability to read and write in the English language

    Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents, contracts, specifications and/or government regulations
