YOUR ROLE AS A TAZIKI'S SHIFT LEADER:

Serving guests and making meaningful connections with them

Opening & closing tasks (including cash management and overseeing staff duties)

Being responsible for the restaurant and the team when a manager isn't on duty

Setting the tone for the shift and giving clear, calm directions to your team about their duties

Mastering menu and product knowledge

Supporting or working stations when needed (including kitchen)

Prepping food and doing side work

THE IDEAL TEAM MEMBER:

Prior food service experience preferred

Strong leadership, guest service, and verbal communication skills with guests/team members

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple tasks and priorities

Ability to follow instructions and adhere to policies and procedures

Energetic, ready to learn, loves fresh food

Able to work a flexible schedule

Maintain good attendance, good hygiene, and good attitude

Your Working Conditions / Hours:

Shifts typically last anywhere from 5 to 9 hours Morning shifts usually start from 9:00 to 11:00 AM and last until 3:00 - 5:00 PM Evening shifts usually start between 12:00 and 4:00 PM and last until 8:30 - 9:30 PM Schedule is flexible and can change week to week as needed

Benefits

• Free shift meal for all management staff (for employee only, non-transferable) • Base pay starts at $14 - $15 (based on availability/experience) plus tips • Tips are shared by all hourly employees and typically add an additional $3 - $4 per hour to the base pay • Flexible scheduling - ideal job for students or people looking for a short workday or a second job

You may work in a typical restaurant kitchen environment, which includes but is not limited to using equipment such as a flattop and char grill, oven, slicer, mixer, and food processor.
