About the Role:

Pepperonis Houston Heights is looking for an energetic and dependable Shift Lead to join our team in Houston, TX! This is a great opportunity to step into a leadership role at a beloved local pizza spot where great food and great people come together. Responsibilities:

Oversee daily shift operations to ensure smooth, efficient service from open to close

Lead, motivate, and support team members during shifts to maintain high performance

Monitor food quality, prep, and presentation to uphold restaurant standards

Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism

Assist with cash handling, drawer counts, and end-of-shift reporting

Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health code regulations

Coordinate staffing coverage and delegate tasks effectively throughout the shift

Requirements:

Previous experience in a restaurant, food service, or hospitality environment required

Prior supervisory or shift lead experience strongly preferred

Strong communication and team leadership skills

Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced setting

Basic math skills and comfort with cash handling and POS systems

Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

Reliable, punctual, and a positive team-first attitude
