    Job Description

    Our Client Human Resources Specialist will be assisting in various Human Resources functions for ShiftPixy, Inc. This includes a variety of responsibilities such as administrative functions, recruiting, and onboarding.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist Client Human Resources Manager regarding any Employee Relations concerns, investigations, and resolution.
    • Assist with client worksite employee onboarding
    • Provide Support and continually improve the employee onboarding process ensuring best practices for workplace policies and HR procedures.
    • Coach, and guide worksite managers and employees on performance management, including the delivery of performance feedback.
    • Provide advice and guidance on state and federal employment regulations and policies.
    • Offer practical and timely solutions for business owners while serving as a trusted and confidential advisor.
    • Partner with clients to ensure they have the support needed with regards to Recruiting, benefits, compensation, and Learning & Development.
    • Thorough understanding of human resources principles and practices, including but not limited to employment laws and regulations. This includes self-directed maintenance on knowledge of current laws, events, industry trends, and economic factors that may impact ShiftPixy and its clients.
    • Knowledge of HR metrics and ability to benchmark, measure, analyze and articulate the value and ROI of HR initiatives, practices, and policies
    • Assist Client Human Resources Manager in facilitating training to individuals and groups at all levels of an organization
    • Assist Client Human Resources Manager on completion of key client HR deliverable (i.e. handbooks, policies, paid-time-off plans, job descriptions, and performance evaluation systems) utilizing knowledge from various Human Resource disciplines to help identify their application and impact on the clients business
    • Create and maintain complete and confidential files on each worksite employee. Process, verify and maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and classifications.
    • Record and maintain data for each worksite employee, including such information as addresses, weekly earnings, absences, supervisory reports on performance, change of statuses, and dates of and reasons for terminations.
    • Establish and maintain department records and reports; recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency and services performed.
    • Respond to applicant inquires in-person, over the phone, and via email.
    • Respond to various information requests from governmental agencies, such as Unemployment, in a timely manner.
    • Ensure Paid-Time Off plans are set up in compliance to Fed, State, and Local governance.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resource, business or a related field or relevant HR experience, or any similar combination of education and experience.
    • Able to effectively manage multiple projects and attend to daily client matters while maintaining focus and follow through on issues until resolved and delivering results as committed
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal effectiveness at all levels in the organization and across cultures. Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) are preferred
    • Must use logic and reasoning to make immediate decisions under pressure or tight deadlines
    • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality in maintaining critical and sensitive information, records, and reports
    • Understand, interpret, and apply general administrative and departmental policies and procedures • Work under steady pressure with frequent interruptions
    • Read, understand, and review documents for accuracy and relevant information • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
    • Strong organization skills, analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to work with a diverse group of people
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Experienced in HRIS System or similar systems to use transferable skills
    • Knowledge of federal and state laws as they pertain to HR, payroll, benefits, and safety preferred
