    Amoura, a family-owned restaurant located in South San Francisco, is looking to hire an Executive Chef/Kitchen Manager to join our team! You will directly supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in preparing and serving food. Our ideal hire would be able to perform the following duties:

    Designing new recipes, pricing, planning menus, and selecting plate presentations

    Menu development for a fine-casual Mediterranean restaurant

    Oversee the daily operation of the food service staff

    Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies

    Maintain health standards for raw and finished products

    Ensuring promptness, freshness, and quality of dishes

    Coordinating cooks' tasks

    Adjust daily schedule for shift personnel to ensure optimal efficiency

    Implementing hygiene policies and examining equipment for cleanliness

    Reviewing staffing levels to meet service, operational, and financial objectives

    Hiring and training kitchen staff, such as cooks, food preparation workers, and dishwashers

    Performing administrative tasks, taking stock of food and equipment supplies, and doing purchase orders

    Setting and monitoring performance standards for staff

    Obtaining feedback on food and service quality, and handling customer problems and complaints

    Stay current on restaurant industry trends

    Qualifications:

    Must have a passion for gastronomy

    2 years minimum of kitchen management experience, preferably in fine dining

    Must possess culinary creativity

    Knowledge of common food safety practices

    Previous experience in food service or other related fields

    Must be dependable

    Must be able to work in a team environment

    Strong leadership qualities

    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

    Excellent written and communication skills

    High school diploma/GED required (culinary degree preferred)
