Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Fit and assemble structural components, including steel and aluminum, according to specifications.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform fitting tasks with precision.
• Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure timely project completion.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding or fitting is a plus.
• Proven experience as a structural fitter or similar role, preferably in a shipbuilding or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and welding equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
