    Job Title: Shipping Clerk
    Location: Oxnard, CA
    Employment Type: Full-Time
    Pay: $17.50/hour

    Job Summary

    The Shipping Clerk is responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory control, and basic part processing. This role supports daily warehouse operations by ensuring accurate order fulfillment, proper material handling, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Shipping, Receiving & Order Processing

    • Inspect incoming shipments for damage, accuracy, and quality
    • Verify received items against purchase orders
    • Package, label, and prepare outgoing shipments
    • Organize shipments by customer and delivery priority
    • Deliver and retrieve materials within warehouse and production areas
    • Stock shelves and rotate inventory as needed

    Production Support

    • Deburr and oil parts according to daily production schedules
    • Count parts and complete required paperwork accurately
    • Enter orders into the system before moving to the next operation
    • Inspect parts for defects or discrepancies
    • Communicate with supervisors regarding quality concerns or scrap decisions

    Inventory Control

    • Assist with physical inventory counts
    • Maintain accurate inventory records (incoming and outgoing materials)
    • Use computer systems for data entry, tracking, and corrections
    • Support organization and storage of materials

    Safety & Maintenance

    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
    • Follow proper lifting techniques and safety procedures
    • Inspect tools and equipment before use
    • Ensure work areas are free of hazards (slips, trips, falls)
    • Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
    • Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred
    • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
    • Ability to use computers for data entry and inventory tracking
    • Experience operating material handling equipment is a plus

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
