Quality Inspector I / Shipping
Position Summary:
The employee performs a variety of inspection and testing duties to insure that shipped products fulfill all customer specifications and quality requirements. The employee works to established detailed specifications and procedures.
Primary responsibility
Prepare paperwork and parts for shipment.
Follow scheduled priority list to ensure parts are shipped on time.
Using various computer systems to create customer barcodes and tracking labels.
Package parts for outside processing according to purchase order requirements.
Package shipments per Haz-Mat regulations
Control parts and tools going into and out of inventory.
Close work orders and receiving parts into inventory.
This is a 1st shift position, - we are currently doing a 9/80 schedule (1st week 6 am to 3:30 pm. - M-Th + 6 am to 2:30pm Fri then 2nd week 6 am to 3:30 pm. - M-Th and Fri off)

Physical Requirements
• May sit or stand for extended periods at a time at a desk, bench, or table.
• May be required to work at a computer terminal or near moving mechanical parts.
• Close vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required. The employee must pass a basic eye exam.
• Finger, hand, and wrist dexterity with the ability to feel, finger, and handle parts and controls are required.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pound occasionally. In addition, the employee will occasionally be required to utilize equipment to move items in excess of 50 pounds.
• Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
• Must be able to reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and hear. The employee must communicate fluently in English.
• Must have a tolerance for stress. **
