Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to support daily shipping and logistics operations. This position is responsible for handling back-end administrative tasks related to shipments, documentation, and transportation coordination. The ideal candidate will ensure all shipping paperwork is accurate, organized, and submitted on time while assisting with scheduling outbound shipments and maintaining compliance with transportation requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule outbound shipments with carriers and trucking companies
- Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documentation and records
- Submit truck permits and ensure transportation paperwork is properly completed
- File and organize shipping and logistics documentation accurately
- Communicate with internal teams and carriers regarding shipment details and scheduling
- Track shipments and assist with resolving any logistics issues that arise
- Support general administrative tasks related to warehouse and shipping operations
Requirements
- Previous Shipping Clerk or logistics administrative experience required
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Experience scheduling trucks or coordinating shipments preferred
- Prior truck permitting experience is a plus
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and data entry
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment
- Familiarity with shipping documentation, carrier scheduling, and transportation processes
