    Position Summary

    The Shipping & Logistics Specialist is a full-time, onsite position responsible for coordinating all outgoing customer and vendor shipments. This role focuses on shipment scheduling, documentation, carrier coordination, and communication to ensure accurate, compliant, and on-time delivery of finished products.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and schedule domestic and international customer shipments
    • Coordinate and manage vendor shipments as required
    • Prepare, review, and process shipping documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, export paperwork, and carrier forms
    • Ensure shipments comply with applicable domestic and international shipping regulations
    • Understand various terms and conditions, Letters of Credit, and how they relate to shipping requirements and documentation
    • Track shipment progress and proactively resolve delivery issues or carrier exceptions
    • Communicate shipment details, delivery timelines, and status updates with internal teams and customers
    • Maintain accurate shipping records and update ERP or shipping systems accordingly
    • Coordinate shipment timing with production completion schedules to meet customer delivery commitments
    • Support continuous improvement efforts related to shipping efficiency, accuracy, and compliance

    Required Qualifications

    • Associate’s degree (2 years of college) or equivalent relevant experience
    • Experience coordinating shipments with common carriers, freight forwarders, and couriers
    • Experience with international shipping and export documentation and processes including Incoterms and customs procedures
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and adaptability
    • Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously
    • Effective communication skills in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Working knowledge of customer terms and conditions, including Letters of Credit
    • Certification in Trade/Logistics/Transportation: EIC, CTLE, CTLD, or similar.
