    The Shipping Pharmacy Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of compounded medications. This position focuses on packing, labeling, and verifying shipments while maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations and internal standards. The associate will also assist with inventory management, receiving deliveries, and maintaining an organized shipping area. This role does not require a pharmacy technician license. It is ideal for individuals with strong attention to detail who are interested in working in a pharmacy shipping environment. Responsibilities: Shipping & Receiving Operations• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare prescription orders for shipment.• Verify orders against packing lists and ensure all shipping documentation is complete.• Process shipments using pharmacy-approved carriers and tracking systems.• Receive and inspect inbound deliveries, ensuring proper documentation and inventory accuracy.• Maintain an adequate stock of shipping supplies and notify management when inventory is low.Workspace Maintenance & Compliance• Keep shipping workstations clean, organized, and compliant with pharmacy safety standards.• Follow all OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe and sanitary working environment.• Adhere to HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times.Documentation & Record Keeping • Maintain accurate records of shipments, returns, and inventory transactions.• Ensure proper labeling and packaging for temperature-sensitive medications.• Report any discrepancies, damaged shipments, or delays to management immediately.Teamwork & Support• Assist with cross-functional tasks as needed to support pharmacy operations.• Provide suggestions for improving processes and enhancing shipping efficiency.• Uphold FarmaKeio’s Core Values in daily interactions and decision-making.Core Values and Continuous Improvement• Demonstrate FarmaKeio’s Core Values and Operational Guidelines in everyday communication and decision-making.• Identify opportunities to enhance shipping and receiving processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Physical Requirements• Close visual acuity needed for computer work and reading.• Frequent use of hands for keyboarding and handling small components.• Frequent standing, walking, and sitting; prolonged standing may be required.• Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.• Regular verbal and auditory communication required.• Limited exposure to hazardous substances; safety protocols minimize risk.• Reasonable accommodation is available for individuals with disabilities.Educational & Experience Requirements• Current High School student, High School Diploma, or equivalent required.• Prior shipping and receiving experience preferred but not required.Safety and Compliance• Employees must adhere to all OSHA safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.• Adhere to all Texas State Board of Health regulations, laser safety protocols, and FarmaKeio standards.• Safeguard patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines, ensuring that all patient data is handled securely and appropriately.• Complete mandatory HIPAA training and stay updated on privacy and security policies.• Report any potential HIPAA violations or data breaches immediately to the designated compliance officer.
