Metro Welding Supply Corp., Detroit, MI Full-Time | Starting at $18 per hour, based on experience
Metro Welding Supply Corporation, Southeast Michigan's largest independent welding gas distributor, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support our warehouse and distribution operations at our Detroit location.
This position plays an important role in ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately, incoming shipments are properly received and inventoried, and products are packaged and processed efficiently for delivery or customer pickup.

Key Responsibilities
Receive incoming parcel and freight shipments and verify the accuracy of products and quantities.
Report damaged or incorrect shipments to appropriate personnel.
Inventory and stock incoming materials in designated warehouse locations.
Prepare customer orders using pick tickets and follow company quality control procedures.
Package orders appropriately for UPS, freight carriers, or Metro delivery trucks.
Process UPS shipments using UPS WorldShip.
Maintain shipping documentation and order records.
Assist with customer pickup orders as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Work closely with warehouse and distribution team members to support daily operations.
Qualifications
Previous warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Forklift experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move up to 60 lbs.
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and forklifts.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday.
